Display controls and linked responsbilities in RBA
August 1, 2022
Enhancement

Many of our customers use requirements-based assessments (RBA) to prove compliance during an audit and generate pixel-perfect reports for relevant stakeholders. The power of the RBA lies in its ability to capture multiple data points (applicability, current maturity, desired maturity, comments etc.) against your compliance requirements, doing away with cumbersome spreadsheets.

We're excited to announce an excellent new enhancement to RBAs, which allows you to view responsibilities and related responsibility tasks without having to leave the RBA. This update is perfect for quickly seeing the status of control responsibility tasks and proving control performance.

Responsibility tasks can be viewed in an RBA conducted against a control set or an RBA conducted against an authority. For this update to work, the control set must have assigned responsibilities linked to its controls for the former. While, in the latter, the provisions in the authority must link to controls within a control set, which in turn link to responsibility tasks. The key here is that controls and provisions directly or indirectly link to responsibilities within 6clicks.

To view responsibility tasks in an RBA, click on the requirement details tab, and if it's a control, you'll see the linked responsibilities immediately. Alternatively, if it's a provision, you'll see a list of linked controls, and from here, you can click on the control to view the linked responsibilities.

Clicking on the view tasks icon will display a modal that allows you to view and filter individual responsibility tasks, see their status, view comments added to responsibilities and download uploaded attachments.
